I am participating in a new project looking at the practice of ‘green guidance’ across Europe and beyond. Over the years there has been quite a bit of discussion about ‘green guidance’, but it remains unclear as to what it actually looks like in practice. In this project we are going to try and nail it down more clearly.

The first element of this project is a survey aimed at careers practitioners and other roles aimed at supporting engagement with education and work.

In the survey we will ask you your opinions about the major issues that are faced by societies with a focus on climate issues and issues relating to environmental sustainability. In the survey we use the terminology of ‘green guidance’ to describe careers interventions that support people to think about their engagement with environmental sustainability as they develop their learning and work lives.

Data will be used to develop ideas for the Exploring Green Guidance project. The aim of this research is to inform the development of new resources for careers professionals to help them to work with environmental issues (green guidance).
