Global Careers Month: Opening Ceremony

I was very pleased to represent the International Centre for Career Development and Public Policy at the Opening Ceremony of Global Careers Month.

The event featured a host of the great and the good from around the world talking about the importance of career development and career guidance. Anthony Mann from the OECD offered the observation that ‘never in the course of human history has career guidance been so important’.

I took the opportunity to talk about the importance of establishing robust and well funded career guidance system that are capable of offering lifelong guidance to all citizens. You can find me at about 59 minutes.

The whole event is well worth watching if you want to be reminded, firstly that career guidance is vitally important, and secondly that you are part of a global movement of people making this argument.
