The future of work. Will there be any jobs left for my children? (ISP parents workshop)

I have been asked by the International Schools Partnership to run a couple of workshops for parents. In these workshops I am going to try and address what the future of work might hold and hopefully to put people’s minds at rest.

More generally I’m using this as an opportunity to talk to parents about the role that they can play in supporting their children’s career development. In general my message is that parents should talk about careers more, but try not to turn this into a big summit about the young person’s future. A little and often is probably the best way.

This is part of the ISP Future Pathways programme that is working with international schools to develop the career and transition education that they offer.

This is what I’m planning to say, but I’d be interested in people’s thoughts on this.

  1. Thank you for sharing your slides. I would dearly love to hear the presentation alongside!

If I may, could I pinch one slide to use when I speak with parents?

    Many thanks,
