Construction is one of the most important industries in the UK, with a range of career opportunities from the professions and management, through trades and specialists, to running your own business. I’ve been working with the Institute for Employment Studies (IES) on behalf of the Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) to investigate people’s perception of careers in construction. An important part of this is how careers professionals of various kinds perceive this sector.

We are currently running a survey which builds on research we carried out earlier this year. We want to hear from careers advisers, careers leaders and others involved in careers at all educational levels and in the labour market. The survey should take no more than a few minutes to complete.
