Get Involved: ICF Communities of Practice
The ICF Communities of Practice (CPs) are curated and facilitated by volunteer members with the support and guidance of ICF Learning and Development staff members. If you are interested in contributing to our outstanding learning communities, co-leaders and ambassadors are being sought for 2024.
To be eligible, you must be an ICF member in good standing and an ICF credential is preferred. Preference is given to prior Community of Practice attendees. Additional qualifications include having prior ICF leadership experience and a passion for learning and community.

- Career Coaching Community of Practice: How Transitions Shape Our “Ikigai” on November 2 at 8 p.m. (New York). Join Peter Nakamura and Marc Henry for an exploration into life transitions and their influence on a client’s ikigai or “reason for being.” This interactive session aims to apply resonant concepts, empowering purposeful transitions in coaching practice.
- Coaching Science Community of Practice: Embracing Complexity: Navigating Gender Diversity in Organizations Through Gender-Sensitive Coaching Practices on November 8 at 1 p.m. (New York). Explore the perpetuation of the male-female binary and gain insights on coaching with gender-sensitivity. Participants will discuss practical ways coaches and organizations can implement gender-sensitive initiatives, define intentions and responsibilities in this area, and share recommendations for empowering both belonging and uniqueness, regardless of gender.
