Trustees wanted

As readers of this blog may be aware I have the privilege of being chair of the board of Adviza which is one of England’s leading careers organisations. Adviza is a charity and as such is overseen by a board. The board is responsible for scrutiny and oversight as well as for bringing new ideas and opportunities to the attention of the organisation.

It is a very rewarding role which offers a real way to make a difference to the delivery of career guidance in England. Current trustees include individuals with practical knowledge of working or volunteering in sectors including careers, local authority, healthcare, education, charity, innovation and the Armed Forces.

We are currently recruiting new trustees. The role involves a minimum of six meetings a year (although half of those are likely to be online). We are looking for people who can help to champion the charity, contribute to the board and provide scrutiny of Adviza’s operations, ensure that service users voices are heard and who can provide inspiration and new ideas.

Is this you?

If so, visit the Adviza website to find out more.
