The NICEC journal is now open access. For those of you who aren’t familiar with the journal, it is an open access, multi-disciplinary journal dedicated to careers theory, practice and research.

– Support for diverse needs and service user groups, and associated equality issues

It has been going since 2000 and as part of making it open access, NICEC has put all previous issues into the public domain. This means that you can now access an archive of 48 issues of careers research.

To give you a flavour of the sort of stuff that you can find in the journal, why not travel back to the first issue where you can find Mark Savickas discussing the need for a scholar-practitioner model, Jean Guichard and Christine Rieu Fichot exploring the relationship between context, finalities, theory, and innovative practice or Becky Francis examining girls’ career aspirations at school.

Or you can fly forward 22 years to the latest issue and read me talking about Covid, Elsa R. Olaru and Emma Bolger looking at the career development needs of single parents, or Vaidehi Ranavaya considering how to decolonise career guidance.
