This encouraged me to study the International Coaching Federation (ICF) definition of executive coaching to gain insight into this specific skill set. The process typically involves one-on-one and relationship-based interactions tailored to the individual’s business environment.
According to the International Coaching Federation (ICF), coaching is “partnering with clients in a thought-provoking and creativeprocess that inspires them to maximize their personal and professional potential.” [10] 11] Being self-directed individuals, clients are in charge of their own journey.
This belief became stronger the more I experienced coaching myself – as a client and over the past 20 years working as a coach and HR professional in corporate environments. This belief also made me become courageous enough to pursue my goal to become an independent professionalcoach myself.
