It is elitist and a rip off and the Internet has democratized access to information and communication skills to the point that paying $30K a year to get them is insane. It used to be that people only did writing and critical thinking for school. A solid education from a solid school paves the way to a high quality grad school.

Keeping one's critical thinking capacity on all the time – not hiding it behind laws or rules of polite discourse – is key to doing anything different or better. in my opinion; most people do not own nor recognize their "shadow" selves.and so disown their anger/frustration etc. anger irritability etc.

It confirms what we already know about many of the Americans who don't live in the big cities, even though they are literate and have access to all information through the internet. Thank goodness we are "literate" and have "access to all information." In Europe we never got why they voted for George W.
