It used to be that people only did writing and critical thinking for school. So they needed school to teach them communication skills and critical thinking skills. However, I think that liberal arts degrees hoodwink 18 year olds. I had no clue at that age what my real priorities were. And saved thousands.

If hospitals in NYC did this, there would be a run on grilled cheese ingredients all over the city. And I could not think. Keeping one's critical thinking capacity on all the time – not hiding it behind laws or rules of polite discourse – is key to doing anything different or better. They gave me 20.
