It would not be MY Power Tool if I had read it somewhere and this is supposed to be mine. By evaluating their own situation and progress, individuals can gain valuable insights into their journey, identify areas for growth, and develop actionable strategies to overcome challenges. I couldn’t come up with something original.
Routine tasks like writing copy, mining consumer data, and creating visuals that once took hours can now be done in minutes. From chatbots to social media management to full-scale marketing campaigns and automation, artificial intelligence is changing the way marketers do their jobs.
If your LinkedIn feed looks anything like mine, announcements of former colleagues and clients who have been impacted by yet another RIF seems like a daily occurrence. Work that is not energizing for you may be a professionaldevelopment opportunity for others. Get creative in how you can set boundaries here.
Especially in an organization like mine that’s very analytical, very data-driven, it’s important to understand why we should try different approaches to creatively understand problems and come up with ideas. I learned a lot from participating in the group exercises with people from across the world and fields different than mine.

I started my business in 2009, and it’s funny how much has changed—and how much has stayed the same. One thing that has always been true is this: People really mistrust Human Resources.
If your graduate school experience was anything like mine you didn’t think much about management skills during your scientific training. You’ve just been promoted, congratulations! You’re now a manager with your own team ! But what does it really mean to manage a team? I barely had any experience being managed!
So I told him: I was a professionaldevelopment trainer and I work with companies to help elevate employee performance, he said, “Oh man! Not mine, of course, but some. A few years ago, I met someone who asked me what I did for a living. That sounds awful!” I was SO shocked. I had never gotten a response like that.
As a good friend of mine says, “There’s a difference between a rut and a groove.”. Increase your participation in professionaldevelopment activities. There’s no doubt that motivation is essential for career success. After all, it’s a long and arduous journey. Enjoy friendly competition with yourself and others.

Mine from yesterday had 13 items on it, I was able to cross off one and felt almost giddy when I crossed it off. To Do lists are hard; it’s true and I struggle with mine every day. I'd like to add one idea from a mentor of mine, who led big organizations in both sectors. There ARE some nonprofits that are run this way (mine is!), A friend of mine is thinking of starting a for profit company that serves not for profits. Salesforce.com rocks! Even small not for profits usually have posted org.
