The only difference between the organizations is the financial structure. You should not work where someone does not value you (and pay a living wage) and you should not work where you do not find meaning in your work. I think we should all be careful of dividing the world into meaningful non-profits and soulless corporations.

I would fly first class, stash all the extra treats they offered, and eat them until I could charge room service to the organization I was speaking to. This used to happen all the time. When my company was running out of money , I would go to San Diego to give a speech and stay at a four-star hotel and not have a cent. Or put a hold on it.
