As my career shifts, I find that the key to keeping the shift moving in a productive way is to ask good questions. It’s ironic, because one of the most frequent questions I get from people is “what’s the best way to make a career change?” Anyway, I wouldn’t say redecorating is a career change, but maybe just a vocation vacation.

My financial history, and stop whining about your job, March 2007 My personal finances have been sort of a wreck since about 2001. It's even scarier to be a career advisor in a financial mess. This is not really a post as much as a start of a post. But I like the last line. It's very scary to have a messy financial life.

Lots of job and career changes. One could say that your endless pursuit of career flexibility has paradoxically had the opposite effect in your life. You're not a big aquirer of Stuff, which is good. However, where you blow a lot of money because of the instability in your life. These things are all very expensive.
