I certainly am a fan of working from home and believe that you have a set boundaries and expectations so that you are productive and focused on getting things accomplished to be successful. I check emails, figure out what I need to accomplish for the day, but not much more. When I'm fried creatively, I go exercise or run errands.

But at the other end of the spectrum (where I am) if you just want to write well, you also need influence because if you are writing and no one is listening then you are not really communicating. Anyway, very few people have been creative geniuses on their own. First, I don't even see how you accomplish what you set out to do.

It is elitist and a rip off and the Internet has democratized access to information and communication skills to the point that paying $30K a year to get them is insane. So they needed school to teach them communication skills and critical thinking skills. Thanks, community college. Despite their schooling, not because of it.

I learned to drive before anyone else, I can build and fix just about anything and being in a small community gives you a real sense of belonging that you don't get in a city. We also learned to be very creative with ourselves, because there wasn't as much to do as in the city. It won't be easy, and you know that.
