Even if I manage to do that, I will not feel like I have accomplished something important today. And then, when it turns out that it really does mean sleep inducing I didn’t feel accomplished. One flaw I railed at for years was the lack of creative, spontaneous unfettered time. Who puts a word like that in a picture caption?

If I don't, and don't get those endorphins, then my whole schedule is off, and I get nothing accomplished, not to mention I am a miserable grouch! I certainly am a fan of working from home and believe that you have a set boundaries and expectations so that you are productive and focused on getting things accomplished to be successful. I check emails, figure out what I need to accomplish for the day, but not much more. When I'm fried creatively, I go exercise or run errands.

I'm male, 23 and have yet to work at all, so any and all advice about the subject, especially from someone who has accomplished a great deal while still harboring some of the same anxiety, is more than welcome. She has conducted the Stanford Study of Writing , which includes about 15,000 writing samples from students from 2001 – 2006. Even when I am attempting to write a creative piece, I find myself falling back on my "e-mail voice." I had less time for Facebook and spent more of my time writing creatively. That's all.

I think too often we are so worried about accomplishing as many tasks as we can that we don't focus enough on the task that is right in front of us. My personal experience after the first year I meditated consistently for 1/2 hour every day is that it made me feel less fearful, more comfortable with my decisions and more creative.

For some reason, your voice seems to get through to her much better and smoother than mine on topics like frugality etc. : ) She totally looks up to you as a mentor!
