I think it's important to not make people feel bad or stupid when they ask questions – intimidation doesn't motivate learning. She has conducted the Stanford Study of Writing , which includes about 15,000 writing samples from students from 2001 – 2006. Now I've gotten it down to 49, which feels much more manageable.
