Even if I manage to do that, I will not feel like I have accomplished something important today. And then, when it turns out that it really does mean sleep inducing I didn’t feel accomplished. It's been fun reading the developments with the Farmer. I went to the top engineering school in the country. Although it was lonely sometimes (I was an only child), it encouraged me to read ALL THE TIME and to develop a broad imagination. They told us how smart we were and how we'd accomplish so much.

A Stanford study shows that people develop better writing in social media than in the classroom. I also have it on good authority that the quality of Facebook's software engineering is shite. But when watching TV or in a darkened movie theater, intimacy is so much simpler to accomplish. The intimacy of reading is overrated.
